How ChargerFit works for homeowners
ChargerFit helps you choose a home wallbox and passes your enquiry to opted-in OZEV-authorised electricians. It is not a marketplace, not a public installer directory, and not a promise of three quotes in 24 hours. Quotes online vs an installer directory is that split.
Get a quote. We pass the enquiry to opted-in OZEV-authorised electricians. We do not promise a number of quotes, a reply time, or a public installer list.
What you do
Pick a unit from the charger catalogue if you already know what you want. Then get a quote: postcode, contact details, and photos of the consumer unit and the parking place. Photos let an electrician judge the cable run without a first visit.
What we do
We pass the enquiry to local installers who have opted in and who cover that postcode. How many reply, and how fast, depends on them. We do not take a deposit, hold money in escrow, or charge you a fee for the enquiry.
What happens next
You deal with the electrician you choose: price, date, and payment. They should issue a BS 7671 certificate and handle DNO notification. What happens after you submit a quote request is the post-submit sequence. How the enquiry path works is the same story as five steps.
We do not publish electrician emails or a public list. If you want reviews, ask the installer they send you.
What we do not do
- Sell you the charger ourselves
- Guarantee a number of quotes or a reply time
- Take a holding deposit or run escrow
- File your OZEV grant application for you (you apply on GOV.UK where the scheme requires it)
