Q.01How much does EV charger installation cost in the UK?+
We do not publish a typical fitted price. Catalogue From figures are official manufacturer prices: some are hardware RRP, some include standard installation. A non-standard install is still quoted separately. Use the quote form and we will pass the enquiry on.
Q.02Do I need a special electrician for an EV charger?+
For a grant, and for the electricians we pass enquiries to, the installer needs to be OZEV-authorised. We do not publish a public NICEIC roster.
Q.03Can I get a grant for my EV charger?+
From 1 April 2026 the live GOV.UK schemes pay up to £500 per socket for renters and flat owners, on-street cross-pavement solutions, landlords, and workplaces. House owners with a driveway are not on the old home grant. Do not install before OZEV confirms eligibility.
Q.04How long does installation take?+
We do not promise a number of hours. A short garage-wall run is a different visit from a buried cable. Ask the electrician you book.
Q.05What if my fuse box needs upgrading first?+
If your consumer unit isn't compliant with 18th Edition wiring regulations, your installer will quote separately for the upgrade. Quotes are itemised and never bundled, so you'll always know what you're paying for.
